About Us



Community Parish Nursing, Inc is a recently formed whole-person care management organization located in Reading, MA. This non-profit, 501(C) organization is dedicated to connecting older adults who have chronic health conditions or disabilities with the services and supports they need to remain independent in their homes.

Community Parish Nursing differs from any other existing health care delivery system in that equal attention is given to the spiritual, emotional, and physical health of the individual. Community Parish Nursing is about "Neighbor Caring for Neighbor" by coupling independent professional nursing practice with volunteer care giving to maintain or to restore the emotional and spiritual health of people with chronic illness even in the presence of increasing physical disability.

The basic notion of neighbor caring for neighbor is deeply rooted in each and every faith community, so it is natural that Community Parish Nursing is partnering with the Reading Ecumenical Health Ministry corps of volunteer caregivers. These volunteers come from the various churches within Reading to participate in the "Neighbor Caring for Neighbor" initiative.

Community Parish Nursing coordinates, trains, supports and works directly with these volunteers from this ecumenical ministry in a mutual mission to assist people with serious and persistent illness maintain or restore their emotional and spiritual health while remaining connected to their community.

Is for the volunteer faith community in association with existing health care delivery systems to play a vital role in maintaining or restoring the emotional and spiritual health of people with serious and persistent illnesses
